Fin and Tube Heat Exchangers
We are manufacturers of finned tube coils for the original equipment and replacement markets. Using computer aided design and state of the art production technology, we manufacture UL/CSA listed coils that measure up to the most demanding quality and performance standards.

Applications include direct expansion evaporators, “a” coils, and condensers for refrigeration systems, water and glycol heating and cooling coils, low temperature coils with defrost heater slots, flue gas heat recovery, fluid cooling, compressed air after-cooling and more. We even manufacture coils without any fins at all! . Computer coil ratings are available for virtually any tube-side fluid.

Manufacturing Capabilities

Finned tube heat exchangers with 7.00 5/16”, 3/8” and1/2” diameter copper / Aluminum and Aluminum Claded Copper tubing. Tubes are fabricated from Seamless Copper / Aluminum / Aluminum Claded Copper Tubings with either smooth or internally enhanced surfaces. Heavy wall construction is available in Aluminium & Aluminum cladded copper tubes also, contact our sales department for more details. Fins are fabricated from aluminum and are mechanically expanded onto the tubes. Pole Star offers a variety of surfaces to improve the heat transfer including Corrugated, Sine Wave, Lanced and flat fin geometries. Pre-coated fin material is also available to further increase protection against mild corrosion. Protective dip coated and Baked Coils are also available. Pole Star offers a Special Coating for all Coils which has Anti Microbial , Super Hydrofobic and anti corrosive properties with a life warranty of 10 years.

Tubesheets and Coil Casing of Aluminum , Steel , Copper , Brass , Galvonised Steel Material and can be fabricated with fully extruded tube support collars or standard pierced holes.

Computerised fin lines, hairpin benders, machanical expander, automatic brazing machine, cnc turret punch,press brake, shear, cnc pipe bending machines, pipe flaring, expanding, beeding equipment, return bend manufacturing, tig / mig welding, tin plating / painting and anti corrosive coating with anti microbial and super hydrofobic properties apart from other equipment required for manufacturing world class heat exchangers.

Refrigerant Condenser Coils
Condenser coils are available in single or multiple circuits to meet any condensing or heat reclamation project. Replacement "L" shaped, "U" shaped or round condensing coils can be manufactured to your specifications. Separate integrated sub-cooling circuits can also be designed into the coil.

Hot Water Coils
Our standard hot water coils are designed and manufactured for virtually any type of Hot Water, chilled water, or glycol system. Custom casings, fin spacing and circuiting are available to meet any project requirements.

Design pressures & temperatures coils are designed to withstand 250 psi maximum operating pressures and a maximum fluid temperature of 300° f for standard duty copper tube coils. Higher limits are available depending on coil construction and/or materials used.

Material:

Fin Material: Coils are constructed with plate fin, die-formed aluminum or copper with self spacing collars. Standard aluminum material thickness shall be 0.105 mm to 0.20mm +/- 5% and standard copper material thickness shall be 0.15mm to 0.20mm +/- 5%.

Copper Tube Material: Machine bend Copper tubing and return bends are manufactured with seamless copper conforming to ASTM B75 and ASTM B251. Tubes are mechanically expanded to form an interference fit with fin collars. Tube wall thickness between 0.30mm to 0.70mm can be used depending upon the customers specification.

Aluminum Tubes:
Refrigeration Grade, ASTM Standard, Smooth Walled Or Internally Grooved ( IGT) Alloy 3003 / 1000. Tube wall thickness fromm 0.45mm to 0.80mm can be used.

Manifold:
All manifolds are constructed from seamless copper or aluminum conforming to ASTM B75 and ASTM B251. Each return manifold has a factory installed air vent located at the highest point on the face of the manifold. All core tubes evenly protrude into the inside diameter of the manifold no more than a 1/8”. Thickness from 1.5mm to 3.0mm in copper and 2.0mm to 3.00 mm in Alluminum can be used.

Brazing: All brazed joints utilize high temperature filler metals. Manifold connections are brazed with filler metal containing silver.

Casing Material: Casing and tube sheets are usually manufactured from 16 gauge galvanized steel of 180 to 220 GSM meeting ASTMA527 standards, Thickness from 1.0mm to 3.0mm can also be used. Coils up to ten feet will can be provided with a pitched casing toward the condensate connection, a minimum of 1/8” per foot. Coils over ten feet in length should be pitched at time of installation to ensure proper condensate removal.
