Anti Corrosive Coating
Pole Star offers a world leading coating technology for corrosion protection, energy efficiency and bio fouling for the HVAC and heat exchange industry. The water based single-part epoxy coatings and coil cleaner are greener and extremely effective in protecting both new and existing heat exchangers. The use of nano technology to develop a thinner, longer lasting product with enhanced energy efficiency and condensation properties makes this coating the only choice for the HVAC and heat exchange industry this coating has been developed in Australia. The technology has been used successfully in the heat exchange industry to stop corrosion for over ten years both in Australia and overseas including numerous OEM clients. The coating has the potential to revolutionize the air conditioning industry Its an excellent water based epoxy resin that repels condensate and improves efficiency of any heat exchanger. Coil Coat will extend the life of any heat exchanger either on new equipment or in the field and corroded. The results have been extraordinary. Full Corrosion Protection
Full corrosion protection The following photograph is of Pole Star coating after 500 hours of an acid / salt test.

If your car was subjected to this test it would be destroyed in 50 hours. This is very impressive as most salt tests are carried out on just plain aluminium fin stock only.

What Causes the Corrosion Simple copper and aluminum heat exchangers achieve excellent heat exchange but they are dissimilar metals and will corrode at the point where copper meets aluminium. This corrosion can be rapid and pre-coated fins do not eliminate this risk. Substantial efficiency losses will occur.

Pole Star coatings provide a super- thin 6-9 micron layer to prevent this from happening. This stops the corrosion and doubles (or more) the life of the coil

Fin Protection

When applied to new coils the fin protection is excellent and can double the life of ant heat exchangers. Protection from extreme pollutants is assured using PROMEK coatings.
